The Model Congress helped me find what I believe in, and allowed me a safe place to voice my opinion. I learned how to defend my position as well as strategically poke holes in the oppositions' arguments. Now I understand why it's important to learn about political issues.

  • Seven days in our nation's capital with on-site study of the U.S. Congress and Federal Government

  • Meet your U.S. Senators and Representatives on exclusive visits to Capitol Hill

  • Attend briefings with speakers from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government, think tanks, college professors, and the media

  • Visit the National Mall, Mount Vernon, and the memorials and monuments of Washington D.C.

  • Explore future career opportunities

  • Gala Dinner and Dance Cruise on the Potomac River

Lodging and Transportation

  • Campus housing – safe and superb academic setting with the recreational facilities at American University

  • Breakfast and dinner each day of the seminar
